Thrive in 5 Evaluation

Since November Thrive in 5 has been involved in a comprehensive and inclusive Request for Proposal (RFP) process to select an external evaluator. We are thrilled to announce the selection of a University of Massachusetts Boston team of evaluators, led by the McCormack Graduate School's Center for Social Policy.

The team of evaluators, including: Donna Haig Friedman and Mary Coonan from the Center for Social Policy; Alice Carter, Department of Psychology; Anne Douglass, Early Education and Care in Inclusive Settings; and Oscar Gutierrez, College of Management, will work with us over the next 15 months to:

  1. Design and implement an evaluation of Boston Children Thrive in 5 (formerly Community School Readiness Wiring; funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation);
  2. Design an evaluation plan for Thrive in 5 as well as current and planned implementation work; and
  3. Support coordination of evaluations of individual implementation projects (i.e. strategies from the Roadmap) with one another and with Thrive in 5 overall.

We are very excited to be working with this highly qualified and skilled team. We owe a great deal of gratitude to our reader and interview committees, whose volunteered time and energy were essential to this process.
